The performance "I am Marlene. The Story of One Photo", created by the stars of the legendary "Gogol Center".
The play grew out of a single photograph in which Hollywood star Marlene Dietrich kneels in front of an elderly man in a black suit.
Who is this man? Why is she kneeling? Where was this photo taken?
Playwright and director Savva Saveliev found the answers to these questions and based on them wrote the play "I am Marlene". It is about the amazing connection between Marlene Dietrich and the story "Telegram" by Soviet writer Konstantin Paustovsky. It is two stories in one: the life of a legendary actress and singer of international fame and the life of an old woman forgotten by all in the Russian countryside.
The spectator will have a surprising discovery when he learns how much these two women have in common. "I am Marlene" - a play about the other side of love, which passes the test of war, loneliness and fame.
The main roles in the play are performed by :
Ekaterina Varnava - viewers know her well from the television show "Somedy Woman" and many, many other television projects.
