On September 21 in Zurich - Alexander Gudkov, Alexander Pal, Marina Vasilieva, as well as Evgeniya Borzykh, Kirill Ivanov and Stanislav Astakhov (the group "The Biggest Simple Number") will present a musical performance "The Lost Mirror" full of fun, magic and good hopes.
This is a fairytale performance for adults and children (from 6 years old) about the adventures of a hand mirror with a shard of a star on its handle. It escapes from thieves and vagabonds, talks to Trumo and the Mermaid Professor, gets captured by the Diving Bird, always finding itself in the most unexpected places. And, of course, the mirror is magic: it reflects joys and experiences, despair and hope, rejection and love, and helps its owners to see the realization of great and impossible desires - even a flight into space.
During their wanderings and adventures, the Mirror and the audience learn a lot about themselves and the world around them - about the existence of a chocolate zoo, a sausage reticule, garden kittens and much more. And the main truth - you don't have to be magical to have something magical happen to you!
All the action will unfold against the background of video sets with illustrations by Pavel Pepperstein, the writer and artist, on the motives of whose work this performance is based.
The costumes for the performance, surreal and "very literal", were created by a team from several countries under the direction of artists Maria Levina and Polina Grechko. The music for "The Lost Mirror" was written by the SBHR group - this is the material familiar to listeners of the audio story of the same name, as well as compositions created especially for the performance. They will be performed live by the artists of the production.
