The play "Cremulator" in Prague 7 February 2025
"Cremulator" is the first production of Sasha Filipenko's novel of the same name, written on the basis of interrogation documents of the director of the first crematorium in the USSR.
It is the story of a White Guard pilot-officer Pyotr Nesterenko, who, after a long ordeal of emigration in the early 20th century, makes a deal with the Soviets and returns to his homeland.
This is a story of forging and choosing one's truth, of its burning and blotting out of several generations, of emigration and the war of the last century; of Faith and a great love that means nothing if its devoted audience is a tyrant.
