The Ukrainian band Boombox, formed in 2004 in Kiev, is well known to European audiences. The band's leader, vocalist and lyrics writer Andriy Khlyvnyuk and his team tour a lot in different countries, constantly increasing the already considerable army of their fans. Over the past year the musicians have worked out a formula of the band's life activity, which they try to stick to.
According to this formula, the band spends 2-3-4 weeks of foreign touring, then returns to Ukraine, where part of the band goes to their units to the front, part is engaged in the affairs of the Andriy Hlyvnyuk Foundation, part - volunteering. Two or three months pass, and "Boombox" again leaves for concerts.
Having traveled around the USA, Canada, Europe, Great Britain, thanks to donations from the audience and money from ticket sales and merchandising, the Boombox team bought a whole bunch of things necessary for the AFU, from pickup trucks and UAVs to communication equipment and ammunition.
It's kind of embarrassing to talk about the atmosphere at Boombox concerts - the Internet is full of videos with praise and heartfelt comments. The musicians like to play for their audience, like to raise money together with them to support their country even more effectively in this difficult time.
