The songs of Kino remain popular even today. It is one of the brightest and most legendary Soviet bands of the 1980s that influenced the formation and development of the music industry. Already at the start of their creative path, the first members of the band made a pleasant impression on Boris Grebenshchikov. It was he who advised replacing the complex name 'Garin and the Hyperboloids' with something simple and one-syllable, and helped in recording the album. At first, the band was known in a small circle. The album and the songs went unnoticed and did not bring the ambitious musicians success and popularity.
A few years later Viktor Tsoi and Yuri Kasparian started to record the second compilation. Grebenshchikov continued to play the role of producer. He invited some musicians he knew to join the team. After this album was created, the final group was formed. The musicians became not only the opening act, but also the laureates of the Leningrad Rock Club festival. The band grew in popularity and fame, and the notion of "movie mania" emerged among admirers.
