Apkhazetiis an unusual combination of Georgian dance, firmly rooted in the traditions of this nation. Apkhazeti is an unusual combination of Georgian dance with modern choreography and music, firmly rooted in the traditions of this nation.
Officially founded in 1931, the group with almost 100 years of history is constantly touring the world, bringing the audience closer to the traditions and folklore of Georgian culture with incredible energy. The war in Abkhazia and subsequent Russian occupation of the entire region forced the artists to move to Tbilisi in 1992, but despite the difficulties Apkhazeti has retained its character, skill and unique flavor!
Apkhazeti presents traditional works of Georgian music performed in a completely new version by a live orchestra, as well as incredible dances of different regions performed by the legendary Bachana Chanturia! This innovation has been so revolutionary that in the last two years the band has performed in many regions of Georgia, as well as concerts outside Georgia!
