“Sometimes an orchestra can express secrets that electricity cannot reach!”

At the end of 2023, Boris Grebenshchikov will play a series of concerts with a symphony orchestra in Europe as part of the BG+ group.

Boris Grebenshchikov, the world-famous leader of the Aquarium group, is not only a talented musician, poet and artist, but also a symbol of creative freedom, capable of transcending boundaries and merging different cultures in a single powerful artistic gesture. In his irrepressible love for experimentation, he again and again surprises his fans with new forms of his performances. This time, the BG+ Symphonia program will be presented in Vienna, Hasselt, Paris, Zurich, Berlin and Prague, which will include old and completely new Aquarium songs, as well as instrumental works written specifically for this project, accompanied by a symphony orchestra.

Remembering the history of "Aquarium", it can be noted that symphonic arrangements were heard in individual songs, starting with the 1984 album "Silver Day", and in 2012 the composition "Faun" was recorded in London, accompanied by the Royal Symphony Orchestra - a mixture of song and suite.

"...The symphonic theme in the Aquarium has never disappeared. Sometimes the orchestra can express secrets that electricity cannot reach. ...I myself am curious - I want to hear what I don’t know."

Boris Grebenshchikov

In addition to Boris Grebenshchikov and the symphony orchestra, musicians from the BG+ group will take the stage: Konstantin Tumanov (keyboards, accordion), Alexander Titov (bass guitar), Brian Finnegan (flutes), Liam Bradley (drums), Andrey Surotdinov (violin) and Gleb Grebenshchikov (percussion).
